Fourth Sunday of Advent (Year A) • King Ahaz learns the hard way that he cannot save himself. Eight hundred years later the prophecy is fulfilled again when Jesus comes to save us from our sins. He also comes to be God-with-us. Joseph and Mary each say yes to God's plan, so that God's Son can be welcomed into a community. Through the Holy Spirit, the community of believers experiences God-with-us through one another.
