Pentecost (Year B) God gives Himself to His people in the person of the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit enters He fills us with love, shapes us in God's image, and restores us to Communion with God and one other. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Better yet, let the Spirit pray through you for the building up of another. The gift of the Spirit grows to the degree that we give it away.

Going Deeper: Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. Review the fruits and pray for help in the area where you need it most: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:20-22)
Better yet, pray with someone else. Ask them for the fruit they most want. Then say, "Lord God, please bless ____ and fill (him/her) with the Holy Spirit. Especially bless (him/her) with the fruit of _____. Thank you Lord. Amen.
