The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The readings encourage us to look beyond parents and focus on Grandparents. Simeon and Anna are like grandparents and they have three things to give the Holy Family: Wisdom, Prayer, and Joy. Grandma gave me wisdom and joy this Christmas. The Elders inspire the young family and the Holy Family inspires the Elders. Let's inspire one another in the family of God.

Point to Ponder: The words of Simeon are traditionally prayed at bedtime. Read and reflect on them:

“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”
