Lent, Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord. Jesus enters Jerusalem as the triumphal Messiah and true King. He brings a kingdom of peace, healing, love and forgiveness. But the kingdoms of the world dominate, control, and destroy their enemies, including Jesus. Peter wanted to stand with Jesus but he falters in the face of power and violence. He discovers that Jesus' kingdom is the one that truly lasts, but we can only enter it by taking up our crosses and following Christ.
